Manson family murders are a great example of how people can join a seemingly harmless group and end up getting manipulated into committing unspeakable acts.

Cults and terrorist organizations are very similar especially when the cult commits acts of violence.
The Manson family members and their leader Charles Manson even went so far as to carve words into victims stomachs.
If this had occurred during the age of social media, the attacks could've been larger and more devastating than they already were due to the ease of radicalization.
