It is important to remember that terrorists, cult members, or anyone who commits a terrible act couldve been acting on their own volition and not because of how they were raised.

As people we want to blame someone right away or find a reason just so our brains can make sense of something unthinkable.

It is important to remember that it is not necessarily the parents fault if their child is radicalized or commits an attack.

This man is an example of what we need to encourage. If we do not talk about honestly what we were feeling or what almost happened, we cannot try to accurately fix the problem.

By opening the conversation of school shooters, cult members, etc. we can help create a dialogue of how to prevent or help mitigate the risk of these potentially dangerous situations.

This is a brilliant documentary from the mothers point of view about how her British son was radicalized and ended up joining a terrorist organization. She talks about potential warning signs and the emotions involved after the fact.
